Lidded Bowls
Lidded Bowls come in all shapes and sizes and are made from virtually any available wood species. Generally, bowls are turned from bowl blanks specifically selected for size, figure and color/species. Lidded bowls can be functional (meaning used for serving food,) or decorative (used for display.) Some bowls are embellished on the lid. What makes lidded bowls more expensive than a regular bowl of similar size and species is that the blanks are usually larger in order to provide enough stock for the lid. The bowls pictured here are representative samples of some I have turned from urban lumber mostly from San Diego county.
Price range: $50 to $300, depending on wood species, size and embellishments.
