Step Stools / Stools

My wife is 5’1” tall and cannot reach the rear of the second shelf in our kitchen cabinets.  Anything stored on the third shelf is totally inaccessible without the stepstool that lives in a convenient location in our kitchen.  

The stools shown here measure 14” wide by 8” high to the first step and another 8” to the second step (16” in total height).  They are very sturdy with through mortise and tenon cross stretchers and dovetails joining the steps to the sides.  

Single-step stepstools are also available.  These step stools are more commonly used in bathrooms for children who are too short to reach the faucets and in closets for adults under 5’6” tall.

Price range:   Single-step stepstools $125 to $150; two-step stepstools $250 to $300 depending on wood species selected.
